Valentines Day

Valentine’s day is approaching and whether you love or loathe the day, here’s a little guide for getting through it and even enjoying it just a little. It is the one day where you can wear as much pink and red as you want without getting looked at twice so that’s always a plus. Here is my little list of ideas to make it extra sweet whether it’s a last minute gift for your girlfriend (hint hint!), a date idea, something to do with your single best friends, or just a treat for yourself (totally okay I do it all the time!)

Cliche Flowers but not: I just found this online florist and I am OBSESSED! They have a beautiful selection of flowers that are gown in volcanic soil and they only cut the stems when you order them so they are really fresh. And the best selling point is the price, they start at only $40 which is a steal if you’ve ever ordered bouquets before. Bouqs

Something Sweet: There are so many great boutique chocolate stores that you can customize a box of chocolates. I am a chocoholic so this is a perfect gift to me! Wine and Dine: I know a ton of restaurants do specials for Valentine’s day, just search online for your area and it will give you a list. My favorite place to go is anywhere that does fondue. It’s a favorite of mine and a fun experience for you and yours instead of just eating and leaving. Just my kind of thing and if you go for just cheese and chocolate it isn’t unreasonably priced. Some places throw in a box of chocolate dipped strawberries for special occasions so just ask!

Gifts: My favorite websites to get impulse gifts that are worth it because they are discounted are Gilt and Haute Look. You can find amazing designer pieces all discounted so why not? It’s perfect if you are looking for a Valentine’s day present without breaking the bank. And ladies they carry things for men so if you are looking for something for him, there are tons of great gift ideas there.
